Lunar eclipse - LDunlop76 - 04-Mar-2007

Did anyone else see last night's lunar eclipse? I hadn't heard about it in advance, but we went out for a meal last night (newish restaurant has opened within walking distance of home - no drink-driving problem - result!) and while we were walking home, we spotted the beautiful sight of the Earth's shadow crossing the Moon.

I had heard about it in advance but we went to see The Producers at The Palace Theatre Manchester last night. We got back home about midnight just in time to see the earth's shadow leave the moon's surface, I took a couple of photos but it was rather cold and my hands obviously shook and I ended up with several moons.

Looks a bit blank to me Audrey.

Oh, I missed it, didn't know it was going to happen although I did notice that the moon was low down in the sky just above Morrisons

This was the first night shot I`d ever taken. That`s a star in the centre, by the way, scroll left to see the moon.

The universe is quite big isn't it? [8D]

That's a lot of black sky and a little moon! Nice one, Jim. We too had been out to friends up the road, had forgotten the eclipse and at first though there were weird clouds across the moon.
Why is this page so big??
