Finding someone. - muffers - 26-Feb-2006

Could anyone give me idea's on how to search for a person who was born in 1893 but I only know where they where born and nothing till they joined the army in 1916. Are there records that would lead me to some information on this person.

What a great site Bryan. I entered both my grand-fathers and it produced their places of birth and employment within a few seconds. One to bookmark.

Another useful site is http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=census/search_census.asp
You can check ancestors on the 1881 census for free, which is nice.[Smile]

Done my share of Guinness Linda. I'm just wondering if Steve Staunton knows he has another potential player.[Big Grin]
