Females used to play as well, good fun when I was a lad in his early twenties, always welcomed them with open arms.[:p]
Never heard of half size snooker table,I fell in love with Pool and played it at every chance I could. We set up a ladies team, there were a few of us and we did do a few games and won a few. Im amazed still that no one has been intouch to say they know of the Gables or went there in the 1970,s, there were a group of men who were there all the time, and same age or just a little older than myself(so they must still be around). There must be people who remember all the fights that happen there on a regular basis, especially new years eve,
it was like the wild west sometimes, bar stoels flying through the window or the large mirror always getting broken???
