I think there has been loads of info on the effects of the spill on the news channels and it is indeed a horrifying disaster.
What an inadequate word 'spill' is.
Even the smell of the oil must be unbearable.
Obama imposed a moratorium on drilling in the area but I see that has been overturned.
I can understand why as people's livliehoods are so badly affected but am not sure a return to activity should be resumed so quickly.
A recent segment on TV showed the Centre where many engineers are desperately trying to come up with a solution but the depth involved is mind boggling. Looks like the relief wells may be the only answer.
People are angry obviously and with good reason but as I watched all the hours of hostile grilling of Tony Hayward I could understand his 'stonewalling 'to a degree and insisting he wanted to focus on the solution.
Only one congressman asked interesting and probing questions about the pressure involved at that extreme depth and the answers were quickly forthcoming.
Lets hope for a successful fix to this scary scenario soon.
