A hospital in Preston is handing out burka hospital gowns to muslim women in the area at the cost of 12pounds per gown. So does that mean we can all request gowns of our preference.

This burka thing is really getting to me. I've just read an article where 3 burka clad people entered a jewellers shop in Halifax then produced a gun, beat the shop assistant up and escaped with jewellery.
I think they should be banned. This is the hospital burka. Can you imagine the doctor? "oh you're looking a bit green this morning"
It's PC, and someone with an eye for money, gone mad.

Is this Preston or some foreign country... thats what you have to ask yourself. Soon to be worn throughout the UK...
Now another thing to worry about being held up by someone wearing one of these burka's. Who knows what someone will think of next.

before you return to live in the Preston area I suggest that you'd better get yourself a nice new burka , for inspiration and so as to participate with the new 'spirit of the area' and 'trend of the future ', you will then not feel ' out of place' in your new abode !

There was an article in the Mail yesterday saying that when Germany gets its turn to Preside over the E.U. next year, it has plans advanced to re-write the Map of Europe in which Great Britain dsisappears to become part of a new Europe.

Kent is merged wiith Calais as the Trans-Manche Region.The western part of England joins the West coast of France,North Spain and Portugal and becomes the Atlantic Region. Wales merges with Ireland. Eastern England and part of Scotland joins with the Low Countries and some of Scandinavia to become the North Sea Region. Northern Scotland joins the North Atlantic Region.

We are told that the Germans want to make this a key part of their Presidency next year.

Quoting from the Article ...." Combined with new powers for the European Union to control and harmonise geographical information. I fear Eurocrats could literally wipe Britain off the map..."

This really is a case of "watch this space2.

Marjorie wonders if we are all going to be issued with them - or do the non-muslims still have to endure the `bum-flasher` (as she calls it)?

Yes I think we need to complain more and get more stylish gowns. When I was 8months pregnant (that was XX years ago) I had to have an X-Ray. Not only did I have to wear one of thos bum-flashers, flashing more than normal but I had to stand in line with patients from the local mental hospital.... what an eye opener that was... my point is we are at times like sheep to the slaughter..... not saying anything...
