My Grandfather was born in Leyland October 11, 1879 in the George 4th Inn. His name was John Edward Power. We are coming to the U.K. in September and thought it would be interesting to see where my grandparents came from. He emigrated to Canada in the 1890's and apparently joined the British Army during the Boor War. Is there anyway of finding out more information so that when we visit Leyland we can see some of my family's history.
