Olympic Marathon in Leyland !

Just heard on the radio that Leyland is in the running to host the 2012 Olympics marathon. It was stated that London was too crowded and congested especially with the rest of the events planned, and that Leyland was a prime candidate to host the event because of its deserted streets and lack of air pollution.

WOW!!!!! That`s almost as good as the report I just read on painting double yellow lines down the length of the M6 motorway.[]

Apparently they have to run 26 miles around the streets of Leyland then another 220 down the M6/M1 to finish in the Olympic Stadium.
I don't expect any records to be broken.
