I was wondering if anyone knew of Jane, Galye, Hillary or John they all were my mates in Kirkham Close,anyone out there know were they are now???

Hi Julie may be able to help you with Gayle. She was Gayle Shipperbottom until she married me Steve Blackburn. I lived around the corner in Fairhaven Road. I think the John was John Heron. Gayles mum and dad were Roy and Ann. Hope this has helped. Steve

In 1964 I moved with my mother and father to 8 Kirkham Close at the time we were only the 2nd family living there as the bungalows and ajoining estate was just being built,roads were sand and stones and work men were all around in their dumper trucks.I had a few good friends, Galye who moved in across the road, Hilary and John who lived next door, we would spend time down by the river, building dens and swings over the river.
I was wondering are their people who lived in the street when I did,who knew me or others between 1964 to 1979. My neighbour was a man and wife, he had a green old MG,there was a mother with her adult son who look like the boxer John Contee,there was jane who,s mum was mad about Tom Jones, theres Galye who,s parents would take us on a sunday to southport beach and picnik,john next door was my best mate, we did tree climbing......anyone know me or the street???
