Starting very soon a series of videos to time trial
a route against a music track and see which wins.

Roy, In the interest of safety, I`d suggest not using music tracks such as,`The saber dance` or `The flight of the bumble bee`. You`d be around Leyland in zero seconds flat. [Tongue][Tongue]

Years ago, whilst discussing music for my forthcoming wedding with my gran, I told her I was considering coming down the aisle to the Sabre Dance, which gave us both a huge fit of the giggles. Fotunately for hubby, I was not being serious!

I wanted 'Tom Hark' ..
Elijah(I think)and his Zig Zag Jive Flutes
..the organist wouldn't play it[V]
Said that Dr Marsh .. the priest at
Wrightington.. would recognise it which ever
way he played it as he was a Doctor of Music!!
I can't remember which piece of music I made my
triumphal entry to .. I was mourning Tom Hark
and trying to hitch up my garter which was
descending - fast![Big Grin]

The Duchess

PS Oh well before anyone says it first ..
I actually did stop and pull the darned garter
up to my thigh .. as one of the guests said
" The music started .. we waited and waited ..
then turned round and there she was, skirts
and masses of tulle above her head, and she
was pulling up her frilly knickers!!"
To this day I still haven't convinced them that
it was my garter[Wink]

LOL, Karen!

We were under strict instructions from both vicar and organist that only classical pieces were allowed, so though the Sabre Dance would fall under that umbrella, I actually walked down the aisle to Purcell's Trumpet Tune.

I was just thinking Linda it was a good job you didn't come down the aisle to the flight of the bumblebee.
Tommorow's music is Canon by Pachelbel, string quartet playing it. ( Son's getting married for those who don't know)

Just had a quick listen to that - it sounds very nice. Hope all goes well tomorrow.

Hey Linda, I notice that there was mention of `Voluntary` at your wedding. I was going to carry on - but decided against it [Tongue][Tongue][Tongue]

No, no, no! No mention of 'Voluntary' - the Trumpet Voluntary was written by Jeremiah Clarke. I went down the aisle to Purcell's Trumpet Tune...... and I didn't promise to obey either!
And although we both entered into marriage voluntarily, seeing as we'd been sharing a house (and mortgage) the previous two years, there'd have been hell to pay if either of us hadn't turned up on the day.. along the lines of 'wait till I get him/her home!' [B)]
