Activity level
#1
I'm a bit surprised at the low level of activity the last three weeks or so. I guess I'm going to have to start stirring the pot.

Maybe some other regulars could start some new topics?

Frank, I agree with you. Mind you - ALL my forums are slow of late. Just one thing though - be careful what you stir it with. [Tongue][Tongue][Tongue]

It's coming up to the festive season and I expect there to be a flurry of activity of a light hearted nature starting in December.

Frank ,I do agree with you that things are slow and I do try to introduce a few thoughts but wish that it was clearer what people really do want to talk about.
Maybe everyone is too busy at this time of year.
Anyway I would like to ask if you have seen the series Stephen Fry's 'America' where he does a whistle stop tour of every state in a London Taxi, and what you thought of it.
I found the whole journey fascinating -such a diverse nation in all ways. I can understand why the voting system appears to be so complex.
Couldn't help thinking as he sped through New Hampshire that's where Muffers is.
From cities to isolated settlements it was a treat.
One criticism made was it was too quick and he didn't spend long enough in each state but I really liked the overview aspect.

I agree it's slow at the moment but if you lookl at the number of posts I've made ( usually rubbish I agree) ....
I was also going to mention the Stephen Fry documentary and yes it did go far too fast through the states. I particularly wanted to see California as my nephew lives in San Francisco, Georgia as well for other personal reasons. Charlie Boorman's series is also very entertaining and again too fast to keep up with the passing scenery. He was rather silly getting arrested at the airport for saying he had a bomb in his rucksack.

I'll have to keep an eye open for Stephen Fry's documentary. I've never seen any mention of it here.

Given how far out in the top LH corner we are, even by Washington State standards, he probably didn't come here.

Hello all, yes I noticed it was slow going and I am afraid I was a little lazy and did not want to start another topic but will try harder. Fancy Lynne you passed through New Hampshire did you see this little women standing in her back garden screaming 'get me out of here'.
The weather is freezing but I see its not been warm for you either. Supposed to have snow on Thursday.
Do have a couple of topics I will post to later but waiting for Moe to get home to put dinner out.

Didn't see you Avril -sorry- but what a lovely state New Hampshire is -there were so many glimpses of places on Fry's quick tour that are not generally seen on TV but highlights for me were seeing the changes in the terrain, the colours of the Autumn leaves and the variation in climate as he passed through different states and the Rockies from the air. Finished up in Hawaii -think I've got the spelling wrong!
Cheers

Forgot to ask if I Player is accessible in other parts of the world.
I know my daughter in New Zealand can't get it- at least she said she had tried.
