Crime & disorder in Leyland
#1
Monday, 9th March in the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, commencing at 6pm (Questions to be submitted by 2 March):

FACE THE PUBLIC

RESIDENTS will be able to quiz a panel of experts about crime and disorder in South Ribble.
For the first-time ever, people in South Ribble will be able to ask council bosses, police chiefs and other key organisations about what is being done to tackle crime.
The Question Time-style Face the Public event is open to community groups, businesses and members of the public – but we need people to submit their questions in advance.

Councillor Jim Breakell, South Ribble Borough Council Cabinet Member for Streetscene and Crime and Disorder will be chairing the event and urged people to get involved.

“This is an excellent opportunity for the public to hear what is being done to tackle crime and disorder in South Ribble and would encourage them to attend and support the event” he said.
“We want to know from people what concerns them and to share and develop ideas which could make South Ribble an even safer place to live”
“If people want to ask questions they need to submit them in advance so we can provide full and detailed answers.”

The panel will include representatives from South Ribble Council, Lancashire Constabulary, Lancashire Police Authority, Lancashire County Council, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service and Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust and New Progress Housing.

The event, will take place on Monday, 9th March in the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, commencing at 6pm. It will include short presentations explaining the priorities of each organisation before a question and answer session.

Questions need to be submitted by Monday, 2nd March. They can be emailed to [email protected]; or by writing to South Ribble Borough Council, Community Safety Department, Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland, PR25 1DH.
