I didn't have many complaints when I lived in Leyland. Although my car insurance did drop in price when I came to somerset. That may have had something to do with Somerset being mainly countryside.

Mostly, yes. Apart from the Vauxhall Novas and a particularly dare-devil pizza delivery rider (who's only really a danger to himself).

Preston City centre has had a few nasty and very violent incidents recently, but the 'burbs are still quite genteel.

Blitz on teenage boozers

SCHOOL bosses and councillors are backing a police crackdown on Leyland's teenage yobs which is being launched for the third year running.

Operation Calm has successfully tackled troublesome and boozy youngsters on the town's streets for the past two years.
The multi-agency scheme, headed by Leyland Police, rolls into action again on Friday as officers help to give law-abiding residents a trouble-free summer.
Police will be on patrol every Friday and Saturday night until mid-October, targeting hot-spot areas where youths are causing misery for householders.
