I was down Leyland Lane the other day and noticed the activity opposite Leyprint. I5 Houses for rent being built by New Progress. Just jogged my memory about a 'cloggers' cabin there. I was telling my youngest son and he said "what the heck is a cloggers" I think there was another cloggers at the Earnshaw Bridge end of Leyland Lane which reminded me of the toffee shop near there, was it Rigbys opposite Jack Swans shop ? and that shop on the corner of Golden Hill and Leyland Lane, Jeff Greens and of course a bit further up the road was Hunts butchers.

Not rambling, interesting!
Around 1975 I had a pair of 'Ladies Clogs' made at the hut, nice red ones with a strap which fastened with a button, and a prettily punched design. I had the choice of rubbers or irons on the sole. Wish I still had them!
