Photos of Leyland Buses
#1
In a couple of earlier posts, I promised to post photos of Leyland Motors' trolley buses and the long-distance double decker coaches. My source would be a book called "The Leyland Bus", written by Douglas Jack and published by "The Transport Publishing Company" based in Glossop, Derbyshire. The copyright date is 1977 and the copyright atually belongs to British Leyland Truck & Bus.

I know BL is no more, and from searching the web, it looks like Transport Publishing also is out of business. I believe the copyright expiry duration is 16 years, so I'm thinking there's no problem in scanning and posting a few photos from the book.

If anyone (Noel in particular) is familiar with who might still have copyright on this stuff, I'd like to know before I do any scanning and posting.

Sorry Frank, I don't know the answer to that one. If in doubt don't is something my dad used to tell me. I thought copyright expiry was longer than that, 25 years then after 25 years the author could apply for an extension if he's still alive, which is around 70 years.

Since there's no evidence that either of the copyright holders are still in business, I think I'll take a chance. I am 5000 miles away, after all!
