Is the price of petrol/gasoline going overboard as it is in the USA ?
Although we here in the USA are still probably, paying less for petrol than most other countries, it is non-the-less rising almost daily. We are now paying, in the Los Angeles area, $2.15 per gallon for regular unleaded, and up to $2.65 a gallon for high test, and the probability that it will reach $3.00 come summer.
What are you being charged in your area ?

It varies David from area to area but generally about 75p to 79p a litre of unleaded. If you spend over £100 in one go at Sainsbury's you can get as low as 71p a litre--1p a litre off for every £25 spend in one shopping session. I just take my wife along with me and wadda ya know, 71p a litre every time.

At the current exchange rate ($1.80/pound) our "incredibly high" gasoline is just over 30p a liter. It has doubled in the last year or so, which is why we sold our 6-ton, 7.5L motorhome which managed 7 miles to a US gallon on a good day! In Washington state, wee're doing a bit better than California - at Costco the other day, unleaded regular was $1.93/gal.

Move south guys, Regular Unleaded at my local gas station is $1.69. Super is $1.78, and we think that's a rip off.

Just this morning there is an update on gasoline prices in our local rag, courtesy of AAA California....
Los Angeles area, unleaded regular, (cheap stuff) $2.20 per gallon, San Francisco, $2.23, California state wide average $2.16, nationwide average, $1.82. The L.A. average is seven cents per gallon cheaper now than the peak of April 10th when it reached $2.27. remember now those prices are for regular unleaded not high test which is about 20 cents a gollon more.
