JUST LOVE READING THE WEBSITE

I love reading this web site brings back great memories being brought up in farington. Noel i used to come to your house with my grandma and mrs eckton used to give me money out of a jar your dad french polished our dining table.
I remember the bowling green being relaid at the con club Terry singleton did it he lived in kew gardens. His dad ran the leyland corintians who played on centurian way were the industrial estate is now they then became farington villa and played on the park they had a little wooden shed for changing rooms.
I played on the BTR from the age of 11 playing cricket with the likes of Charles Leather he gave me a cricket bat that i still have, it was Cyril Washbrook autograghed.

I remember your family well, you coming into this world, your mum Marion used to come to our house a lot and our renditioning of "All in the April Evening" was well, best not heard, lol. I remember you turning up for cricket too, quite young and most of us quite a bit older. Good to hear from you Martin. Used to have a laugh with your grandma Winnie too. I still have the wedding present she bought us.
