drug centre to open
#1
quote:

A £400,000 support centre will open in Leyland this month in a continuing bid to beat the borough's drugs menace.
The centre on Golden Hill Lane is aimed at supporting people addicted to drugs and alcohol.

I read that several specialist teams will be stationed at the new centre. Nowhere do I see any mention of a police presence to aprehend the criminals (those people using and possesing illegal substances - contary to the laws of this land). Perhaps it`s just as well that there are no police stationed there, it`s saves the rest of us £60 and three points for driving past at 32MPH!!!

I suppose if police were stationed there, the addicts would not come for treatment. The fewer addicts, the fewer customers for the pushers, though I rather think the numbers cured by the treatment centres compared to the number of users is like attempting to stop the tide with a couple of sand castles.......
