I picked it up off the local paper Frank. It's a bit of a pain having to boil all our drinking water, even to brush teeth. There have been some criticisms that the warning came too late, the bug had already been present for several days http://www.lep.co.uk/news/environment/en...-1-7402144

My youngest son his wife and two children were staying in a caravan at Blackpool for 3 days at weekend. They struggled to buy bottled water only place to get any was a petrol station, they would only let them have 6 half litre bottles. None to be had in any suppermarkets. They were glad to be back home here in Wigan we are just outside the limmit of having to boil water, the limmit is at Standish.

Not easy in a caravan particularly anyone with young ones. At least we can boil it then stick it in the fridge for later. We haven't been told when it's safe to go in the water again, my son and his wife came down with the symptoms before the warnings came out. At least it's not as bad as the Colorado contamination.

Preston dock had an infection of Scripto Spyridium I remember about 15 or 20 years ago when I worked in the area.

There has been no clinical admissions thus far but the medical authorities are saying this could change as the incubation period is 7 to 12 days. Meantime United Utilities is saying that all homes affected will be compensated.

We still have to boil in pr5 . I quite enjoy watching the steam from the kettle condense on the kitchen wall. :-)

Hey Noel,
I'm sure those manufacturing methamphetamine have a similar degree of enjoyment, until everything in the kitchen disintegrates from being in contact with the condensate from that form of boil off
