Looking to move to Leyland - advice and views appreciated
#1
Good Morning All,

I hope everyone is keeping well and safe.

My Partner and I currently live in Leigh, Greater Manchester and we are wanting to move to somewhere a bit more quieter.  At the weekend, we went to view a lovely house on the Redrow Development on Leyland Lane (PR25 1LA) and we really like the area - it's quiet, it seems like a great place to live and somewhere that has taken our fancy.

I have come across this forum on Google and was wondering if anyone can please provide some advice on the area we are looking to move to - also, any views on the Town Centre would be great. We are heading back again to do a good drive around this weekend but any advice/views and comments would be appreciated.

Many thanks!

You'll certainly find it quieter here, lots of new housing estates going up though. The town centre is fairly small and has a load of supermarkets, ASDA LIDL ALDI Tesco Morrisons plenty of takeaway food shops, a huge park Worden with play area duck ponds wood walks football fields galore, model railway train that runs sundays and tuesday weather permitting, a maze hall . Anything else i'd be glad to help.

Having lived in Leyland for 40 years before moving to Crete Greece on health grounds I can only echo what Noel has said, Leyland was a very happy place for our 40years, only the bad health for me made us move to a climate better for my health on medical advice.
