The mechanical waste treatment plant

Has anyone heard about the new plans by Lancashire County Council for a mechanical biological waste treatment plant. The only info I could glean was off the web site and that it is proposed to built in Farington. There are no details on where exactly its gong to be built and whether the only waste to be treated would be household.

Welcome boo, it's going to be at the bottom of Centurion Way behind the TVAC building. There is an earlier thread entitled Leyland to become the Waste Recycling Centre. It has caused a lot of concern for residents on Wheelton Lane who are faced with a massivew increase in traffic.
