I guess everyone is out enjoying the fine weather
I'm going to be really busy for the next month, but I'll still be keeping an eye on the forum.
Hopefully by next month I'll have tested out the new version of this forum and it will be up and running. It won't look much different from this version but there will be a lot of new features. The one I like best is the quick reply box, this will be at the bottom of each topic.
Details to follow

The sunny weather here has finally ended, much to everyones relief.
We've had unbearably hot weather for months, 36C + every day. A tropical storm blew through last weekend and dumped 4 inches over night, just north of here got more than 7 inches. Sinse then we've had a lot of refreshing thunder showers.
I had to travel to Redstone Arsenal in northern Alabama today, the excitement was that our Cessna Citation's undercarriage would'nt lock either up or down resulting in an emergency landing. Not really dangerous because they have an emergency nitrogen system for just such an event, but a little hair raising never the less.
I'd forgotten that it's holiday time in England and wish everyone a pleasant time. England is beautiful when the weather is good.

Hi John, your right England is beautiful if the the weather is good. Unfortunatly it has not been too good this summer!
The weather you have experienced sounds good to me, but I don't fancy your cessna experience! I think I would've tried walking back

Vanessa,
All sorts of options crossed my mind, but 500+ miles is a long walk. I was more in a panic about getting home that day, I had to have foot reconstruction surgery on Friday the 9th [the day after]. Everything went as planned and I was home at 3:00 PM, only 3 hours in hospital. It hurts like hell, but I've got some extra good pain pills.
