Right over the top of my head that one Martin. Is bluetooth the same as blueberry. I got an e-mail from a supplier saying it was sent from his blueberry, whatever that is.

Bluetooth shouldn't need to be plugged in. It's a wireless device - named after a 10th century King (Harald Bluetooth - King of Denmark and Norway - famous for bringing together waring tribers in Denmark. That's why the name bluetooth was used - it is able to bring together devices from different manufacuteres). If it plugs in it is USB.

It is all very confusing Noel, but we have to try and keep up with the technology lol!Bluetooth is a wireless system that allows a mobile phone to connect to any other mobile phone that is suitably equipped, to transfer files for free. With a bluetooth 'dongle' you can send files to and from a pc without wires.I don't know anything about blueberry but i keep hearing about it.I will have to get my offspring to update me on it.We have come a long way since i first built my crystal set radio and picked up the light program!Oh, it's all coming back now,Two Way Family Favourites!!!!

Noel are you sure you didn't mishear? I think you might mean blackberry, not blueberry.

Noel, Basically a Blackberry is a portable, hand held, wireless device that gives direct access to e-mail,address book etc. and also doubles as a telephone. Prices start at about £200. (if you are wondering what to buy me for Christmas - there`s your answer[Tongue]).
Martin, I also think that you `plug-in` with bluetooth. Not in the literal sense (as with plug and socket) but in the wider accepted meaning of the phrase, `plugged in` - i.e. to be joined or connected.

Thanks Jim, it explains what happened, the sales manager, out of the office, picked up my e-mail on his "blackberry". One hypothetical question, where do they pick these names from!!
