OOO innit exciting Martin, I have a few of L&B being demolished as well, though not the frontage The big 4 storey building behind Fishwicks looks like it's been sawed in 2 . It will probably be recognised better when the frontage onto Golden Hill starts getting knocked down. I'll nip out tomorrow and take a few of Tescos then post them on to you.

I took a few more photos this morning. It is a lovely sunny day so they don't look quite as gloomy. The problem is getting all of the site in as I have a basic digital camera and could do with a wide angled lens as I couldn't get far enough back ( because of other buildings in the way) to get a full picture.

My local Sainsbury's shuts for 8 days as from next Wed for refurbishment. Should I venture out to the new Tescos in Leyland in the interim? Is it still opening on 29th?

I was going to upload Noels pics today but I'm having problems with the Hosts again! I think they have gone on hols cause they haven't answered any of my email all weekend. I'm looking at changing to a more reliable and faster hosting company soon (funds permitting) so watch this space.

Poor old Sainsburys will miss out on my custom.
Martin, it is a slow web site is it? I thought it was just my over-loaded PC . I sometimes have to log off and log on again to speed things up.

Noel, you can always scan the Tesco site, taking several shots which can be stuck together, quite fun, too as you sometimes get the same person on several times! Linda, it would be good fun to go and see it- a daft reason to go to Leyland's as good as any! Wish I was going meself, I wonder of the opening'll be like the one in Billy Liar, 1960's and the onset of Supermarkets- in it, a TV Personality opens the store and there are Girl Pipers let loose , bagpiping up the aisles, pretty impressive!

MONDAY 8AM Tescos is being opened by the mayor of South Ribble. A bit disappoint I was hoping somebody famous would open it but I suppose South Ribble have been instrumental in bring jobs to the town, I have just had a brochure of their offers , spend £40 €53 and you get 5p off a litre of petrol, TVs £70 off 28" Bush Colur for £199, smaller ones <£50 . Next week a celebrity chef is coming and the week after Jason Robinson England international .

Noel, there is a new version of this forum being released soon, one of the new features will be dynamic signatures. In other words your all your postings will update to your current sig.

Looks like I won't be able to get there. My wife needs the car forthe next fortnight so I have to either walk or cycle the 2 miles to work. I'll try and get something even if it's only a scan or a link . Video's out of my league I'm afraid, I only recently worked out how to switch me PC on!!!
Does the new software mean it will be more user friendly in terms of inserting images Martin?

I thought they might 've got someone famous in, as well, I still have my children's signed photos of Geoff Capes that they got when 'Carrefour' opened - they used to do things in real style in them days!
