If you think you would like to try satellite reception as an interest or hobby get along to Maplin's in the middle of Preston. Right now they have some bargains but they do alter their prices all the time. Last week I got a new receiver because it has a new function called"Blind Tunning". It searches for all the channels of a satellite without the need for any details from the owner.It's a great little tuner and th e model number is SL35...... it also comes with a dish.
You can achieve 600+ clear free channels by re-aligning the fixed dish to pick up several satellites or going posh and getting a motorized system.
With sat dishes, bigger doesn't mean better.I have a couple of small dishes at ground level and they work fine.
